It's been a jam-packed month for the industry, and with Sarah gone (now back!) and events coming out of the woodwork, we've pulled a few together for you. Read on...

| Events Industry Skillnets |
Eventznet, along with a number of NEO Ireland members, has been approved for a development grant for the Events Industry Skillnet. | Events Day 07 Update |
As we said last month we were going to time release the podcasts from Events Day 07. Last month we released Deirdre Bounds' keynote address, Tara Fay’s case studies, Kieran O’Byrne and his James Bond themed presentation and the Street Performance World Championship founders… not to mention Martin McMullan from the Highpoint Group on Ethics and events.
And this month we have the actual discussion between Tom Raftery, Sarah Carroll and the delegates whether or not to release the conference podcast for free or not. We also have presentations from Ruan Kent and Mark Thornton. |
 |
We have been tracking the podcasts to see how much of an interest there is and boy were we surprised. In May alone there were 185 downloads.
170 from Ireland, 9 from Georgia, 2 – Germany, 2 Hong Kong, 2 Ukraine
This is amazing, so I hope that everyone continues to enjoy these podcasts. If you have any feedback, let us know. |
|
You can view the new podcasts on the Events Day Conference website. |

The SMILE conference was not the only thing we got up to. The IIA Congress got packed out, and Eventznet hosts the most popular breakout session, though I may be considered bias in this regard.
The Regency re-launch their fantastic new conference facilities and treated Clyde and I to dinner and a movie (there was no movie). Also, TallHouse strut their stuff at the Reward and Impress Expo in Citywest Hotel.
