| Events Day 07: Focus on Being Different |
To get those posteriors onto the seats, you know you have to be different - you need a wow factor and a real motivator to get your guests to get up and get out. We've scoured the country (and beyond!) to find those who will give us their experiences. Allow me to introduce you our speakers:
Networking with Tricia Murphy :
The queen herself will be on hand to help us network effectively. |
Deirdre Bounds has just sold her company i-to-i Travel for an estimated 20 Million pounds sterling. Now that's different! |
Tara Fay is one of Ireland's most highly respected event organisers - stunning work! |
Kieran O'Byrne will tell us all about getting Clyde Carroll thrown off the side of a building in aid of DEBRA Ireland |
Mark & Conor are expert jugglers by now - these two manage the World Street Performance Championships. |
Martin McMullan is a straight talking Northerner - his key differentiator is that he believes in ethical events... |
I love Tom Raftery's self definition - he fell in love with computers at an early age. I can identify with that! |
Mark Thornton is going to tell us about how the Irish Hospitality Institute use podcasting to improve their event offerings. |
Ruan Kent will present case studies on how teleconferencing & web conferencing work for him |
Mary O'Rawe lectures on the subject of Innovation - a fitting inspiration to end the day. |
Conor Kenny has been one of NEO's most popular speakers to date. Everybody wanted to hear more from him. |
Clyde will tell us what it was like to be thrown off a building - and what it's really like to be the esteemed chair person of the NEO Ireland Advisory Board... |
| |
| Book Your Place Now |
| You don't need to be a NEO member to attend, you'll be more than welcome, but NEO members do get a good discount! And we'd love you to join! So head over to the conference website: www.eventsdayconference.com and get booking... |

| Speaking of Clyde... |
| Yes, on the subject of Clyde Carroll, our commisserations go out to Ciaran Hynes and the team at Bravo! Group. Clyde will very shortly now take up his new role as events manager for Chambers Ireland. That is going to be one busy job, but they've certainly got the man for it. Good luck Clyde! and to Chambers - you know the old saying - if you can get this man to work for you, you will indeed be lucky! [we love a bit of banter here at NEO - and I'm getting all nostalgic looking at that photo...] |

Somebody asked me yesterday evening (at one of Tricia Murphy's networking salons) if Conor was the new Lisa... I think he is. Allow me to introduce you to our new Network Manager - Conor Savage. Say hi nicely, Conor...
Conor joined us on the first of March and it has so far been a baptism of fire for him. In this new role, Conor will be responsible for all things NEO [including getting the ezine out of me in time]. If you have any NEO related queries, or if you just feel like a chat, give him a call on 01 716 3632 or drop him a line: conor_at_neoireland.com (swap the _at_ for an @ symbol) |
