Dublin Briefing Session for the Events Industry Skillet

To book your place, please click here. Or to make a donation, please click here.

We went down to Cork on the 31st July to host the Munster Briefing Session for the Skillnet and we had an amazing turnout. Those from a wide cross section of the events industry turned up to tell us what they wanted to see from an Events Industry Skillnet. This information was invaluable as it is going to help us put together our application for the full 2 year grant. I am sure that we all recognise the importance of training, but without knowing the training that you want we can't make this work. So if you have not booked your place at the Dublin Session, then please do so. We need your feedback and thoughts if we are going to make this project into a success.

Events Industry Skillnet

Events Industry Skillnet

Des Donnelly (Clarion Hotel Cork City), Sarah Carroll (Eventznet), Robert Stephens (Stephens Display Solutions) and Laura Curtin (Communicate PR)

We would like to say a special Thank You to Laura Curtin and the team in Communicate PR for helping to organise this briefing session. Without Laura, this event would not have been the success that it was.

The full festival, is being held on the 24th, 25th and the 26th August all over Dún Laoghaire. This years programme offers the most eclectic range of concerts, performances and events to date. Along with the spectacular Global Village in association with Oxfam, the energetic World Dance Plaza and the People's Park kaleidoscopic programme of performances and workshops, they are delighted to introduce some new programme highlights:

Cool Earth; an eco fair in association with the County Council's Enviornmental Awareness Programme and Cultivate and to celebrate the reopening of the newly developed Royal Marine Hotel, projection artists Emilio and Sebastian Arteage from Uruguay team up with Sainkho Namtychalk from Tuva to present a brilliant outdoor audio-visual projection show entitled "Facade - Art of Noise". Special Guests for the launch party include: The Walt Breakdancing Team, Manila Rhythm, Soul of the Punjab and many more.

This is shaping up to be an amazing festival, and NEO's very own Elaine O'Connor (Magnum Events), the conference organiser behind Events Day 07 has been working hard on this festival all year and we wish her and everyone else involved the best of luck.
