NEO Ireland : Mini-Zine : July 2007
Welcome...

...to NEO Ireland's Virtuial Second Birthday Party. We had such a great time on the 3rd July that we have decided to share it with everyone. NEO's birthday was a huge success, so thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. We have filled this mini-zine (baby Ezine) with pictures and quotes from the evening. Every day in NEO is a party, but this one had cake! So sit back and enjoy as we take you on a tour of one of the highlights of NEO Irelands year!

NEO's Second Birthday Party.

We at NEO Ireland have always been very lucky to be supported so generously by our sponsors and this event was no different.

Mary-Beth and her team at the O'Reilly Hall, UCD very generously offered to host our Second Birthday party. We were delighted. This truly is an amazing and adaptable venue. Mary-Beth and her team had split the hall into two parts. One half was set up theatre style for a conference and the other banqueting style.

Up came SUMO Multimedia to dress the room. I had briefly worked with SUMO on Events Day 07: Focus on Being Different, but this was my first event from start to finish with them. I had the pleasure of working with Claudia this time round and I could not have been happier. I would work with her on any event, any time. Lorna and Joe of Hireall- Party & Event Hire was next on my list. I needed furniture! This was originally planned as an outdoor event; how wrong we were. This was the first time I got to meet Lorna Murphy of Hireall and she did an amazing job helping us out. Thank you Lorna!

HireAll- Party and Event Hire

You can't have a party without entertainment; and entertainment we had. MPI- Martin Nolan and Associates provided us with the Llobet Guitar Duo. The Llobet Guitar Duo performs a wide-ranging repertoire including Renaissance and classical works by Bach and Vivaldi, through to Irish and contemporary composers. They were perfect- look out for a full feature on them in this months Ezine. Thanks Martin & Anne. And then there was the cake, absolutely gorgeous. Did you like it? I'm sure Rosanna from Cakes and Co could make you another one.

We also had to let people know what we were doing, so off to Pure Graphics Sarah went and got those fantastic pull up banners that we love so much (see there on the right). A big thank you to Eugene and his team for the pull ups and for the NEO leaflets we got done.

And more thank you's!

We also need to take the time to thank UCD's sponsors who got behind this project and really worked hard to make it a success.

NEO Members With Taste went above and beyond with those delicious plates of food (and I didn't get any!). I had never worked with Egans Hospitality before, but I would again in a heartbeat. Their service was outstanding throughout the night. AVC0M were looking after the Audio Visual for the night, they were the ones who did that amazing set-up in the O'Reilly Hall. And finally to Got'cha Covered, who dressed up the hall banqueting style to show how versatile the O'Reilly Hall, UCD really is.
