Avcom West

We covered a bit about Avcom's new offices in Galway back in July, but this time we bring you their new logo (pretty cool that!). Tony and his team are also delighted to announce their sponsorship of Galway United FC and are pictured here at the end of season match on Friday November 9th where they finished the season well with a victory over UCD 2-1.

Avcom West

Spotting a gap in the market Avcom opened their new branch Avcom West in the Co. Galway area earlier this year. With excellent local support this new branch is going from strength to strength and we look forward to continued growth over the coming new year.

Avcom West, located in Cong, has a full range of professional audio-visual equipment and experienced local technicians who guarantee a premium quality service. For all of your projection, sound, lighting, staging, video, edit and graphics requirements west of the Shannon, Avcom West is your one stop shop.

Slainte Stillorgan Opens for Business

Formerly the Wine and Beer Warehouse, Slainte Stillorgan is a brand new Off Licence just opened in Stillorgan. Shane Pollard is the man behind this new business and after a trip down to the store on opening day, I must say I was very very impressed. I had been in the Wine and Beer Warehouse a few times over the past few years, but nothing compares to what it looks like now. It looks amazing.

Slaine Stillorgan sponsored the past few Neo events and we couldn't be happier.

So just before Slainte sponsor our Great Big Debate, Shane and his team have put together some special offers for the festive season that we have included below. A trip down to Slainte is well worth it before Christmas. It is only metres away from the Stillorgan Shopping centre and you can't miss it, it's the big green building!

Shane was kind enough to give me a tour of the premises the day they opened. I was drooling at the choice of wine/beer and spirits and secretly wondering how much I could fit into my bag without seeming suspicious.

I contacted Shane last week and asked him did he have any offers going for the festive period. He got back to me straight away with some fantastic ones. I've listed them below and I hope you all take a trip down to Slainte and support them as they have supported Neo.

I asked Shane what was so special about Slainte Stillorgan:

Our unique selling point, says Shane, is our range of products, over 1,000 in total, Home Delivery, Plenty of Parking, Food from Bombay Pantry and Corporate Caterers - Food 4 Thought. as well as Keg Hire, and Weekly Wine & Beer Tasting Sessions. Also, we are very competitive on price, our case price is below that of Tescos on nearly all the products we both sell.

We also have a unique range of gifts from Wicker Hampers to 2, 3 & 6 Bottle Packs as well as accessories. Many of the wines chosen for gifts are restaurant wines which will suit a broad palate and can be drunk with or without food.

And this gets even better. Shane has dropped his prices even lower when you go in and mention Neo Ireland:

  • Bouchard Cuvee Rouge - Should be €9.95 - €6.95
  • Bouchard Cuvee Blanc - Should be €9.95 - €6.95
  • Vincent Delaporte Sancerre 2006 - Loire Valley Producer of the Year
    2006 - Should be €19.95 - €16.95
  • Tommasi Valpolicella 2006 - Should be €14.95 - €12.95
  • Sacchetto Pinot Grigio - Should be €13.95 - €9.95
  • Pere Anselme Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve - Should be €23.95 - €19.95

To contact Slainte, or for a corporate brochure you can give them a ring on 01 - 2121299 or you can e-mail Shane Pollard.

Event Window are launching their Christmas specials this week. They have everything that you could need for Christmas from crackers to entertainment. They are also doing Christmas catering (bring Christmas to your office!), supplying Christmas trees & decorators.

The Christmas trees can also be collected after Christmas and they can get them in any size. They have a whole range of hampers and will make hampers to order. They're also launching their alcohol section - they will only really be doing bulk orders and the prices for the majority of the items will be cheaper than Tesco's.

The Events Industry Skillnet Update

A quick update on what is happening with the Events Industry Skillnet:

The Steering Group had its first meeting on Monday evening and I have to say it was intense! We are getting the machinery in place as fast as we possibly can, as the terms of our contract with Skillnets require a lot of paperwork very quickly.

We are intending to start delivering the first of the training courses in January, so watch this space and others for details on what we will be delivering, how it will be delivered and all the other details that are keeping us awake at the moment.

Remember Your Lifeline...

This Christmas party season make sure you save yourself a lot of suffering by taking your Lifeline Hangover Defence early in the party. Lifeline is the natural way to prevent hangovers, and is available in all pharmacies as well as Dunnes, Tesco and Supervalu stores.

If you're organising an event, why not make sure all your guests have a hangover free Christmas and provide Lifeline for them in a goody bag or at the table - it makes a huge difference the next day!
