I got a tour of the brand new Louis Fitzgerald Hotel and invited down to the launch of Lounge 22, interested? Then by all means, read on.

Lounge 22 launch

Last Wednesday, 10th October, I got to go to the launch of Lounge 22 - an exciting new arrival set to revolutionise the hospitality industry in Ireland. Held in the Royal Hibernian Academy, hosted by Caterhire and organised by Wall2Wall PR & Event Management, this was an amazing event.

Caterhire, an Event and Party hire company based in Ireland have brought to us an exclusive and exciting range of contemporary furniture in the form of Lounge 22.

This Autumn, the Lounge 22 collection will be making a huge impact on all involved. This furniture ranges from glochairs and glostools upon where the backs of the pieces are lit with soft lighting. Accompanied by a host of triangular and circular custom designed tables. All pieces in the collection are custom made and packages individually in silver sleeves for maximum protection for transit between events.

I was not sure what to expect going to this event, but to say I was impressed would be an understatement. All of the furniture was comfortable and truly exciting. The presentation was amazing and everything was lighted up to the max. I can really see Lounge 22 making a huge impact on the events industry for 2008.

Toys 4 Big Boys

The launch night for Toys 4 Big Boys is on Wednesday 17th October. I won't be able to make a full report for this ezine, but I promise one for the November issue. Myself (Neo Ireland), Cathal (Eventznet.ie), Clyde (Chambers Ireland) and Elaine (Magnum Events) are all heading down to see what they have in store for us this year.

This has always been one of my favourite shows and I can't wait to head down to it. When the tickets came (thanks to Frank and the guys in Mediateam), I went straight onto the website and found this quote which I think sums up this show for me:

"The kind of cars that make you fall to your knees and thank God for making roads, because without wheels like these, tarmac is pretty pointless stuff. The publishers of New Car, Modified Motors and Bike Buyers Guide have teamed up with Toys 4 Big Boys to bring you the very best four-wheeled and two-wheeled superstars at this year's show."

As always though, there is something there for the girls too. They've brought back the ladies pamper zone for the third year running. Now I've never experienced this first hand, :), but I do hear it's great fun, and that is what this show is all about.

I hope that everyone takes the time to get to this, as it's a real treat. I hope to see you there. The show itself will be in the RDS on the 9-11th November 2007.

Louis Fitzgerald Hotel opens!

It is not often that I get invited to the opening of a brand spanking new hotel before it opens! So you can imagine my excitement when I got invited down to the new Louis Fitzgerald before it opened. The day before in fact. the bubble wrap was still on the lobby area but I still got the grand tour! The hotel are new members to Neo, so we'll look forward to seeing them at the future events.

190 bedrooms!

The Louis Fitzgerald Hotel has 190 bedrooms, 20 meeting rooms, LJ’s Cafe, Bar and Restaurant. A Mini-gym, Juice Bar and 300 parking spaces.

It also has a dedicated meeting floor and a fantastic conference space. This hotel was built to cater for conferences and seminars while at the same time is a comfortable place to stay the night. It has an ideal location, just off the Red Cow on the N7 side which is within arms reach of the airport and the city.

This was one of my favourite rooms in the entire hotel (there on the right). Rent an office for a day with all of your office needs. It includes internet, desk, phone and a fantastic view and what's even better is that the panel pictured pulls down into a bed. It's perfect for any situation.

All in all I was very impressed with the hotel and I can't wait for the official launch. The hotel donated a night's stay to us to help us raise money for the Events Industry Skillnet, and after seeing the hotel in person, the winner is very very lucky indeed.

This restaurant looked amazing and even better, you can see right into the kitchen.

And for you ladies out there, every room comes with an industrial strength hairdryer and diffuser.
